SECSTORE 089(“Key … for entry … is missing in the secure storage in the file system”)-Issue after DB Migration

Dear Experts,

 

We have Done our NW7.4 Gateway ABAP system DB Migration from Oracle 11.3 to MaxDB 7.9 on Solaris 5.10 OS, while performing post activities

we are getting the issue during Checking the ABAP Secure store phase.

 

While checking the secstore we  are getting the issue as :Key … for entry … is missing in the secure storage in the file system”

So for the above Issue in the Inst Guide Solution as below:

As  per the above links we have tried , it is asking the Source system id Key value but unfortunately we don't have stored any key values of the source system.

In this case how we can proceed , is there any way to get the Source system key value, or else can we delete the source system key and generate the new key on  target system as per generate option in Key management -> generate option  in Secstore. if we do like this is there any other side effects will occur and any other things do we need to do.

During EHP7 Upgrade getting following error .

 

RUN_RCRR_EXPORT_ISU_LOGTABS aborted with errors.

 

Error Exporting Request.

 

Please see the attached File.

 

I logged in 000 client to check if any jobs have failed or any dumps , but couldn't find one.

SUM 1.0 SP14 03, How do I start multiple processes of SUM on the same host?

Hi,

 

We have a BW DEV ABAP system and a BW DEV Java system on the same host. We would like to run SUM in parallel, or at least run the preparation phases in parallel. In previous SUM version (i.e pre SP13) you could STARTUP with httpport syntax to run it on a different port, hence starting several parallel SUM processes, but how is this working on SP14 and the new way of starting SUM using STARTUP confighostagent <SID>?

I'm performing an ABAP add-on installation for the Fiori for ERP apps on my NetWeaver 7.5 ABAP server. I used the Maintenance Planner to generate the stack, and download the files. Everything seemed to going fine until I received the following error:

This is a brand new installation on NW7.5 with an updated kernel to 7.45 PL 23. OS/DB is Windowser 2012R2 with SQL2014 running as a Central System.

Heterogeneous Migration

Hello Experts,

 

we are planning of exporting a big database to new hardware & OS while DB remains the same.

I have few questioins around uptime & downtime activities.

We will be doing table splitting + parallel exp/imp.

Are the steps DB EXPORT Preparation & Table splitting can be considered as UPTIME activities?

i.e can users use the system while above two steps are running through SAPINST. If yes to what extent?

Only for Transactional purposes??

 

OR these activities can be considered DOWNTIME activities i.e SAP is unavailble for users? If this the case then my overall downtime wil increase during production cutover.

 

What are the best practice recommendations?

 

Thoughts are highly appreciated.

SPS upgrade ERP 6 EHP7 to SPS 12 - DVD Mount point

Hi,

 

I'm in a process of upgrading ERP 6.0 with EHP7 to SPS 12, i have generated stack file and started the upgrade process.

But I'm stuck at initial extraction phase and SUM prompting for DVD mount points.

 

i have checked the SAP note 2169284 - ABAP components not calculated for NetWeaver 7.4 SP Stack 08/Business Suite 2013 SP06

The stack file contains <dvd caption="SAP NETWEAVER SR2 DVD" id=" c7a45ee0-c49b-11e3-a755-005056a214d6 " type="upgrade"...

I have provided the Kernel and all dvd's as mount in later try. but, its still asking for dvd mount point.

sap BW on HANA migration using DMO

Hi Guyz,

 

I am new to HANA migration , currently am planning to migrate our SAP BW 7.4 SP9 system to HANA,  and I have already installed the HANA system and its up and running.

 

Our source BW system is on Windows/SQL server and HANA is on Linux and both are hosted on AWS cloud. Now I have a challenge to run the migration using DMO, because couple of blogs says DMO cannot be used for Windows as its uses memory pipes and some say we can switch the mode by changing the parameter.

So can someone confirm If I can run DMO using SUM 14  for the migration by changing the parameter from pipe to socket??? or do I need to use SWPM to use either the File mode or socket mode as DMO doesn't support Windows??

 

I even tried the SUM benchmark tool and  thought I can run the migration using the benchmark tool, later I found its using memory pipes and I cannot perform the migration. So can we really use benchmarking tool for the real migration or only it is used to analyse and estimate the time of DMO.

 

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Solution Manager 7.1 Solution Tools SP14 - Stopped on Import_Proper phase

Hello,

  I'm importing several Support Packages to update my Solution Manager 7.1 System up to Solution Tools ST SP14 (SAPKITL714). I used the SPAM Queue Calculator to add all the required Support Packages and extra Components.

 

Unfortunatelly the process stopped in the IMPORT_PROPER phase due to missing Tables.

  I've found out that SAP Note 2223723 states that the SPAM Check Component Software have an error for the

Component UISAPUI5 (It should be >= SP12 for SolMan 7.1 ST SP14).   The missing tables seems to belong to the UISAPUI5 component.

 

  The solution in this SAP Note is to modify the Check Component Software to force to check the UISAPUI5 Component to be greather than SP 12 BEFORE applying the Support Package 7.1 SP14, but this is too late because we already have the problem in the Import_Proper phase.

 

What can we do to fix the error?


Should we apply SAP Note 1022755 to force the Import phase to skip the Check up for these Tables during the IMPORT_PROPER phase? Won't this be a problem later for the UISAPUI5 Component and Tables that weren't updated by this Support Package?

 

Should we do a system recover and start over the process?

Change Transport Directory while SUM ist running

Hello,

 

we are running a SUM (1.0 SP14) on a SAP system (Windows 2012 R2) an we need to change the transport directory that SUM ist currently using. Please see screenshot below for the error message. We were already modifying the SAP profiles and restarting the process - no luck on that. Does anybody know where SUM pulls out that information so we can change it?

Let say currently that one of my support pack is version 5 and sap already release version 8. Do I need to apply version 6 and 7 first before I need to apply version 8?

nZDM available in DMO? (not standard SUM)

Dear folks,

 

As i know that there is near Zero Downtime Minimized option in SUM (as show in attached screen cap).

Anyone know that if this option exist in DMO (as part of SUM which is ideal option for HANA migration) as well?

 

I go through the document & blog of DMO, the term and option of nZDM is not mentioned.

 

Sorry that i should test myself but I don't have enough to prepare the source system,  tools and xml..etc..and have to propose the downtime optimize for HANA migration project soon...

While performing a SAP BW System Upgrade and Database Migration to HANA using DMO for SUM SP14, Im facing the following issue.

 

It seems folder SUM\abap\exe_2nd was not created, therefore R3trans could not be found

stupid questions about SUM SP14

Dear community,

 

I am trying to use SUM SP14 and facing with stupid questions how to use this tool.

I have successfully applied Java SPStack with SUM and now I need to apply another patch but I don't understand how to return to the "Welcome screen".

Do I need to delete SUM directory and unpack SUM.sar again?

But if I try to delete/rename SUM folder MS warning message appears "Folder is open in another program..." So how to stop SUM processes? In SUM guide there is information about stoning Software Update Manager via Task Manager, but I can't see SAPup processes in Task Manager.

Hello,

 

we are applying Netweaver 7.3 patches through SUM 1.0 SPS12, and encountered an error during phase downtime phase "MAIN_PROFSTART/SUBMOD_INSTNR_CHG/MOD_INSTNR_PRE!", I found the issue and I tried to update the shadow system instance profile, but when I repeat the phase the values are lost and old values are taking effect. does somebody know from where SUM is reading the old profile?

SAP Installation Server Bug - Constant Erroneous Updates

I'm working on setting up a SAP Installation Server for central administration of our SAP system connection settings for our users, etc. However, there appears to be a bug / annoyance for my test users whereby installing a package from the server, they are getting persistent daily prompts claiming that there is a "SAP Software Update" where if they click "No" to install they are prompted the daily and if they click "Yes" they are prompted again immediately after an apparently failed attempt to update. Here's the prompt:

The thing is, I have not made or published any changes to the package on the server, so I can see no reason why this prompt continually pops up. I've searched to the best of my ability and cannot find a solution to this. I cannot roll this out to all users until we get this issue resolved.

 

This is regarding the Installation Server that came with SAP GUI 7.40. I just installed the latest PL (5) and Hotfix (2) [i.e. build 1629185] as well and the issue appears to still exist. The only workaround seems to be to stop the NWSAPAutoWorkstationUpdateSvc service altogether. Of course this is not what we want because the entire point is to be able to push out updates to users.

 

I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Customer transports import using SUM SP14 failed with error in phase MAIN_SHDRUN/SUBMOD_FDC_INIT/RUN_FDC4UPG_INIT

Hi ,

 

Using nZDM feature of SUM SP14, we are doing a project where we are importing 1000's of customer transports via SUM. No component upgrade.

 

During the pre-processing phase, we are stuck with this error for which we could not find any sort of clue how to proceed further.

 

We have raised an incident with SAP but we would like to know if anyone in this space has faced this issue below and were able to find the root cause?
